Our blackberries--actually, I just found out they are really black raspberries (you'd think a former girl scout and country girl would know such things, but I just got my first wild fruit and berry reference book for my birthday--now I know)--are out between our barn and machine shed. We don't do a thing to them and they grow back every year full of tons of fruit. The mosquitoes love that area, too. ;o)
Frozen hand-picked berries are great in smoothies in the winter and help me think warm thoughts as well.

Oooo! I picked strawberries this morning! And, I probably need to pick blackberries when I get home tonight. I mixed up some yogurt cream this morning--can't wait for dessert tonight!
